As the Senior Director of Institutional Philanthropy & Partnerships (IPP), Emily provides strategic leadership, direction, and management to our work with private and public funding partners. This work means understanding the needs of Root Capital partners and clients and collaborating to create relationships that benefit both parties. Alongside a strong and dedicated team, Emily works across the full IPP portfolio to guide and evolve our approach to partnership building. Before joining Root Capital, Emily spent nearly twenty years developing corporate and foundation partnerships for other organizations, with experience representing interests on both sides of the table. She leverages those learnings to work with a portfolio of Root Capital partners and lead the overall approach for the IPP team. When she’s not working, Emily enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three kids, traveling, baking, and curling up with a new book and great cup of coffee.
