In her role as Coordinator of BMA in Mexico and Central America, Iris is responsible for the Advisory Services strategy for Central America. She identifies strengths, weaknesses, and potential opportunities for smallholder farmers to improve their businesses through training. Prior to joining Root Capital, Iris worked for six and a half years at Coordinadora Hondureña de Pequeños Productores as an Organizational Advisor. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the movies, exercising, seeing new places and supporting local businesses.
